It's hard to explain why people like to dress well ("well" is subjective to each individual), and it's equally hard to quantify the extent to which it's innate or acquired.
In any case, if you're on our site today and reading this section, it's because our T-shirts have caught your eye and/or that you've embraced French manufacturing. Yes, we're working on the principle that the "made in France" argument doesn't make a garbage bag look any better, so we thought that in addition to being made in France, we'd make visually appealing tee-shirts, and tee-shirts that we couldn't find anywhere else.
So maybe fashion runs in your veins like it does in ours. If you, too, like to open your drawers and wardrobes in the morning and choose your outfits with care, paying attention to matching colors, working out the length of a pair of pants or the hems of a shirt, matching your socks, even though they're not very visible, with your shorts/tanga, which are even less visible. So, it's safe to say, our passion for fashion is shared, and perhaps our passion for T-shirts made in France will become so too.
French Touche is the synthesis of a passion for fashion and the growing sensibility to produce in France. For the record, the tee-shirt was first used as a military undershirt by the US Navy in the 20s, and this first tee-shirt was white.
In keeping with this historical and aesthetic logic, we decided that the French Touche T-shirts would be white. The Bleu, Blanc, Rouge color combination not only recalls the colors of France, but is also recognized as one of the best color combinations available today. Says Anna Wintour herself!
As you can see, French Touche is much more than just a brand: it's a state of mind.
