Notre Mode | Notre Monde

Let's face it, the textile industry isn't the cleanest in the world. In fact, it's the second most polluting after petrochemicals.

So Maison FT and I thought we'd come up with a range of eco-friendly clothes that were in tune with the times.

How can we do it? By making simple choices:

  1. Focus on proximity: We look for companies close to home, in Europe, to limit transport. Fewer kilometers travelled means less pollution.
  2. Working with responsible partners: We work with partners who respect human rights and the environment, and who have at least signed the Fair Trade charter. This guarantees decent working conditions and ethical production.
  3. Using recyclable and organic materials: Our eco-responsible garments are made from recyclable and organic materials. This prevents our products from ending up in the oceans and helps protect marine biodiversity.
  4. Making clothes that last: We use thicker cotton and reinforce the sensitive areas of our garments to make them last longer. The most eco-friendly garment is the one that wears out the least.
  5. Adopt recycled packaging: We use recycled cardboard and paper for our eco-responsible clothing shipments. It may not seem like much, but every little bit counts, and it's more consistent with our ecological approach.

It's neither exhaustive, nor perfect, nor sufficient. But the sum of each person's small actions can help move the planet towards a brighter tomorrow.

So, even if we're singing our hearts out, we're happy to participate in our own small way 🍃
