As you probably know, growing conventional cotton requires a lot of chemical treatments and water, which are harmful to our beautiful planet. That's why we've chosen to entrust the production of our garments to organic farmers.

To promote fair trade, our organic clothing collection has been entrusted to a company in Portugal that we have carefully chosen, because we wanted to know all the people who make our soft organic cotton t-shirts.

As you also know, at La Maison, the working conditions of all our employees are at the heart of our concerns. That's why, unlike the big clothing brands, we've chosen to work with companies close to us that guarantee the good treatment of the people who make our organic clothes.

Our T-shirts, whether long- or short-sleeved, are all made from certified organic cotton, so the advantage? They last longer than conventional cotton garments.

Of course, the idea of having them made in France was on our minds, but it turned out to be very complicated financially. It would have been feasible to specialize in a very small clientele with high purchasing power, but we've always preferred to be mainstream at La Maison. [ Yes, we believe that style and ethics should not be a matter of budget ]. 

 After several months of searching, long journeys and many sometimes complicated meetings (not least due to a sometimes shaky level of English on both sides), we found a workshop that perfectly met our specifications and our values: top-of-the-range organic cotton made by workers who are highly paid (almost a French minimum wage) and passionate about their work with textile fibers, and cotton fibers in particular.

 So it's with complete transparency and great enthusiasm that we share with you this incredible scoop: [the new collection will be entirely organic! ]

 Come on, another scoop: this new collection will feature some soft, gourmet novelties in round collars and plain cotton, but we won't tell you more...
